Royal Palm Beach Rotary Club Celebrates National Day of Service at Quantum House

In recognition of National Day of Service, the Royal Palm Beach Rotary Club’s members and Cub Scout Pack 222, a cub scout pack sponsored by the Royal Palm Beach Rotary Club, provided a day of Service at the Quantum House on September 11, 2010. The club and pack helped with chores around the house such as sorting through donations, refilling and cleaning the pantry, vacuuming, cleaning windows, painting, and gardening. The club and pack assisted in maintaining the house’s beautiful garden and playground and worked with master gardener John.

Quantum House provides a “caring place to call home” for families while their children are being treated for a critical illness or injury in Palm Beach County. Quantum House relieves the stress and financial hardship that are added to the trauma of illness and is the only facility of its kind between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.

When a child becomes seriously ill the whole family suffers, especially if the child must be hospitalized or receive treatment far from home.  Quantum House provides temporary lodging and emotional support during a family crisis so that parents may focus all of their time and energy on their hospitalized children.  Quantum House’s proximity to the Children
